Breathe Into Winter:
A Very Snowy Yoga Retreat
The Farmer's Almanac is calling for a 75% chance that this winter is going to be another La Niña season, so you know what that means -- lots of snow! We invite you to pack your bags, bring a friend or come solo, and enjoy all that winter has to offer during the "Breathe Into Winter" retreat. Taking place in one of the country's most breathtaking landscapes, Breathe Into Winter is a one-of-a-kind experience blending yoga and wellness with adventure, snow sports and the outdoors. During this experience you will be guided by our incredible group of hosts and yoga instructions to detach from the stress of everyday life. You do not want to miss this group experience!
Join Dancing Spirit Ranch and YogaKoh for a 5-night/6-day retreat in the Rocky Mountains of Northwest Montana. Every morning, you'll wake up nuzzled in warm wool blankets in an authentic Bunkhouse. From there, you'll head to the School House for an invigorating, heart pumping, guided yoga practice. During this practice, you will enjoy breath-work, asanas and one-on-one instructions where you'll learn how to control the breath and the how's and why's of more complex shapes. Beginning each morning on the mat is the perfect way to prepare your body for what's ahead - a full day of vigorous outdoor activity.
After yoga, you'll head to the Barn for a delicious hearty breakfast and a fresh cup of our custom blended organic coffee to get your day started. With diverse dishes ranging from buckwheat apple chai spiced pancakes to coconut curried vegetables over spaghetti squash, our talented chefs create plant-based menus utilizing as many local and organic ingredients as possible. All dietary restrictions will be observed, and every dish is prepared to comfort and nourish you during your stay.
After breakfast, we will whisk you away to a daily excursion that ranges from cross-country ski and snowshoeing to dogsledding, snowboarding and more. No experience is necessary and our expert team will make sure you are well-prepared for each experience. Following the day's activities we will head back to the Ranch to enjoy a restorative, relaxing yoga flow that will slow the nervous system and prepare the body for deep rest. Complete with gong baths, singing bowls and meditation, each evening's practice will leave you in a blissful state. We will wrap up with a delicious group dinner and an opportunity for intimate, cozy conversations with new friends.
From bonfires and hot chocolate in the Tower of Power to gong baths serenading you after yoga, the hidden treasures of Dancing Spirit Ranch will make this retreat unlike any other. The ranch has a variety of buildings that create a unique Western Village, perfect to house your snowy escape. From morning classes in the School House, to nourishing meals in the Barn, every corner of the ranch has something memorable to offer. There are a variety of room types to nestle up in, all adorned with antique furniture and Pendleton blankets to create the perfect rustic touch for your Montana experience. During your free time, you can find yourself relaxing into a plush sofa, playing board games by the fire, or getting a massage in the treatment room.

Meet Your Hosts
These high school sweethearts grew up in Whitefish, Montana and were lucky enough to have these mountains as their playground. After high school, Robin moved to Manhattan to attend New York University’s Gallatin program of Individualized Study, creating her own major of “The Good Life”. Meanwhile, Tyler moved to Pittsburgh with a Division-I soccer scholarship to Robert Morris University and graduated with a double major in Hospitality and Business Management. After college, they developed a strong passion for travel and have since visited over 35 countries together. During their most recent backpacking stint, they completed a Yoga Alliance accredited 200-hour vinyasa flow teacher training in Bali with Jolie Manza, founder of YogaKoh. One of the their biggest lessons during all of their travels is that home is in the mountains. After a handful of years in San Francisco, Robin and Tyler decided to move back and combine all of their passions into one: Dancing Spirit Ranch. They are beyond thrilled to share their love for people, hospitality, and the Flathead Valley with everyone that comes to the ranch. And if they can’t find them there, you can usually find them hiking, skiing, or practicing yoga.
Growing up in Boulder, Colorado, Jolie’s first yoga influences came from her father, a spiritual man, who challenged her mind from a young age with yogic-based philosophies and meditation. She spent her youth studying dance and practicing yoga, which culminated in receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and movement from University of Colorado. Soon after she found herself in New York City, where she was able to share her passion for dance and yoga with a broader audience. After years in the city, she ventured to Bali where she received her initial yoga certification. Though she has called Bali home for many years, Jolie can be found all over the world running teacher trainings, retreats, and continuing education programs. Through Jolie’s combined passions of yoga, movement, travel, surf and connection, she founded Yogakoh, a yoga school and lifestyle brand that specializes in retreats, trainings, and workshops around the globe. Jolie is excited to help people connect to their inner truths by providing a community of like-minded people.
