Breathe Into Winter:
A Very Snowy Yoga Retreat
Let the serenity of winter surround you as you immerse yourself into all things snow! From downhill skiing on Whitefish Mountain Resort to snowshoeing around sacred stone sites to dogsledding in backcountry woods, this winter yoga retreat offers much more than just yoga!
Join Dancing Spirit Ranch and YogaKoh for a 5-night/6-day retreat in the Rocky Mountains of Northwest Montana. Each day will start with an invigorating yoga practice led by internationally-known Jolie Manza. The morning sessions are designed to get your heart pumping, breath moving, and mind clear, as well as preparing the body for the activities of the day ahead! Enjoy fun, sweaty Vinyasa Flows where we will cover a range of different asanas (postures), discovering new levels of strength and flexibility, imprinting the importance of breath and exploring the how’s and why’s of more complex shapes.
After a delicious breakfast, we will set out for a daily excursion, guaranteed to get you your winter fill! We will explore the depths of the Flathead Valley as we cross-country ski, snowshoe, and much more. No experience is necessary; we will make sure you are prepped and ready to go for each activity. To unwind from the day’s pursuit, each evening will have a restorative, relaxing flow where we will allow the body to recover, reconnect with the breath, slow the nervous system, and recharge. Complete with gong baths, singing bowls, and meditation, the evening practice will leave you in a blissful state, taking you straight into a peaceful evening. Each night will end cozied-up next to the fire with a delicious cocktail, tasty dinner, and the occasional live music.
From the Tower of Power to gong baths, the hidden treasures of Dancing Spirit Ranch will make this retreat unlike any other. The ranch has a variety of buildings that create a unique Western Village, perfect to house your snowy escape. From morning classes in the School House, to nourishing meals in the Barn, every corner of the ranch has something memorable to offer. There are a variety of room types to nestle up in, all adorned with antique furniture and Pendleton blankets to create the perfect rustic touch for your Montana experience. During your free time, you can find yourself relaxing into a plush sofa, playing board games by the fire, or getting a massage in the treatment room.
In one of the country’s most breathtaking environments, Breathe into Winter focuses on combining both yoga and adventure, enabling you to truly detach from the stresses of your everyday life. Meet Your Hosts
These high school sweethearts grew up in Whitefish, Montana and were lucky enough to have these mountains as their playground. After high school, Robin moved to Manhattan to attend New York University’s Gallatin program of Individualized Study, creating her own major of “The Good Life”. Meanwhile, Tyler moved to Pittsburgh with a Division-I soccer scholarship to Robert Morris University and graduated with a double major in Hospitality and Business Management. After college, they developed a strong passion for travel and have since visited over 35 countries together. During their most recent backpacking stint, they completed a Yoga Alliance accredited 200-hour vinyasa flow teacher training in Bali with Jolie Manza. One of the their biggest lessons during all of their travels is that home is in the mountains. After a handful of years in San Francisco, Robin and Tyler decided to move back and combine all of their passions into one, Dancing Spirit Ranch. They are beyond thrilled to share their love for people, hospitality, and the Flathead Valley with everyone that comes to the ranch. And if they can’t find them there, you can usually find them hiking, skiing, or practicing yoga.
Growing up in Boulder, Colorado, Jolie’s first yoga influences came from her father, a spiritual man, who challenged her mind from a young age with yogic-based philosophies and meditation. She spent her youth studying dance and practicing yoga, which culminated in receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and movement from University of Colorado. Soon after she found herself in New York City, where she was able to share her passion for dance and yoga with a broader audience. After years in the city, she ventured to Bali where she received her initial yoga certification. Though she has called Bali home for many years, Jolie can be found all over the world running teacher trainings, retreats, and continuing education programs. Meanwhile, Rob grew up in Sydney, Australia. His earliest memories are of the ocean when his father tossed him into the waves as a young boy, and he’s been hooked ever since. Surfing is second nature to him, and there is hardly a time that has passed without a surfboard hooked under his arm. Rob and Jolie met in Bali and created Surfin2Yoga, facilitating surf and yoga retreats in Bali & The Maldives. Through their combined passions of yoga, movement, travel, surf and connection, they have founded Yogakoh, a yoga school and lifestyle brand that specializes in retreats, trainings, and workshops around the globe. Jolie and Rob are excited to help people connect to their inner truths by providing a community of like-minded people.

Testimonials
"Attending the Breathe Into Winter retreat was an unforgettable and remarkable experience. Every detail was considered, from the accommodations and the twice-daily yoga schedule, to the nutritious food and thoughtful activities (dog-sledding, downhill skiing and snow-shoeing in a blizzard!) that showed off the unique-ness of Northwest Montana and the special and spiritual beauty of the ranch. We even got to experience a sound healing session in a yurt! It was an incredible and memorable six days that I am very grateful for and will never forget." -- Sarah
“I had the most amazing time at the Breathe Into Winter Retreat. I felt like I dropped into a magical winter wonderland with the most lovely people. I can't say enough about how amazing everything was...from the yoga, the food, the people, the setting. It was just breath taking. I've been on many retreats and it was an interesting twist to go to a yoga retreat in the middle of winter, as opposed to the traditional sunny beach getaway. I loved being able to sink into my yoga practice, step away from the responsibilities of daily life, play in the snow and fall in love with winter after experiencing it in a whole new way. Thank you so much for this opportunity and for creating such a unique, special experience. (This hasn't even scratched the surface on how special a place Dancing Spirit Ranch is in itself! What a magical place. I'm grateful for the intention put into the space and the land.)” — Carly
