Give Thanks - Donation Based Yoga Series
News got you down? Us too. We wanted to find a way to rise back up from the darkness. That's when we came up with our donation-based yoga series. Each month this winter, we are going to offer a donation-based yoga class with a rotating teacher. All donations will be sent to a chosen non-profit. Together we can create a bit of community and give back to those that are spreading their light during the dark times.
Starting off the series is the fabulous Leigh Clausen of Love Leigh Yoga. Leigh has been practicing yoga for ten years, and sharing her love of yoga as a teacher for four. Her goal is to make yoga possible for people at all ability levels, and to share practices in a variety of ways, from accessible front country classes to multi-day backcountry adventures. She became a certified Accessible Yoga Instructor in 2019 to further her passion for bringing yoga to anyone open to trying it.
This class will be a time of quiet reflection and relaxation in a warm, softly lit space. We will begin with gentle stretching to help you release the day’s tensions from your body. We’ll then shift to supported restorative asanas. Class ends with a guided body scan and a long savasana. This time will be centered on turning inward to deep relaxation and on gaining space in your body and mind. It's the best way to wind down after a busy day.
All proceeds from this class will be going to help the animals in Australia. Your donations will be going to Wires: The New South Wales-based Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service Inc., Australia's largest wildlife rescue organization.
